Description

This is a fine quality georgian mahogany cheval mirror.

It is presented in excellent antique original condition.
The mirror plate is original. Some of the silvering has perished, and is cloudy, but reflection is good and it remains very usable.

The frame is craftsman built, and of quality mahogany, it retains all of its original fittings. The mirror frame itself has narrow borders, and is of fine crossgrained mahogany, with good tonal contrast. It fits in the main frame well, swivells and grips in any position

The back boards are original, and of panelled construction.
Reeded legs, no damage, and joints all tight.
Fine large mahogany turned Urn Finials.
The brass toe castors and side clamps are original and all in good working order.

Viewings can be arranged by appointment here in Cornwall and we will always explain the history of our stock and restoration work that has been carried out.
