Description
Limited edition signed print of perhaps one of the most famous Railway and Wildlife artists of the 20th century, 'David Shepherd'. His work at the time in the early to mid 1960's cleverly captured the mood and feel of the change to come regarding British Railways, and the demise of steam traction.This emotive work aptly named 'Black Five Country' captures the run down nature of the changing landscape, and just at the point as steam was about to be superceded, and lost forever from our day to day lives. The print is a limited edition, No. 416/850 and also has the artists pencil signature in the bottom right corner of the work.
