Fine quality mahogany extending dining table, circa 1840. In the manner of world renown 19th century cabinet making firm 'Gillows of Lancaster'. Having a pull out action and complete with its original single mahogany leaf, which makes this nice sized 4 seater table when closed into a 6 seater with ease. ConditionNice and in all original condition. A beautiful colour with slight fading , however the table has marks and the extra leaf also has marks with a slight bloom to the finish . It would be a shame to strip and re-polish the top and take the character from the table.
