This is a lovely and unusual pair of Vernacular Thames Valley chairs c1860-80. Raised on the typical Thames Valley Oxford Chair base and upright supporting Arms and cross rail they have a varigated top rail and turned spindles. A great pair of chairs clearly from the Thames Valley both marked to the back "WH". Possibly West & Collier.they are
