Description

ART DECO COMPACTOM WARDROBE

This is an original "Compactom" wardrobe with wonderful fitted interior in oak. It is raised on a plinth base and has double opening doors with a central band of oak veneer going horizontally against the rest of the oak to the front doors which is vertical. It retains its original handle which is a hexagonal cross section and chromed as well which was invented during this period. The top has a simple geometric stepped back detail. All of the exteriors of these superior quality wardrobes are simple. It is a dark oak in colour and I appologise for the pictures I did struggle to get an accurate external colour.

The interior has an open lower section for shoes with the left hand fitted section having a drop in panel that can be lifted to get at your shoes on this side. The left hande door has a mirror and the right hand door has trouser hangers. The left has shelves with drawers inside with the right having hanging space. The upper hanging space has more space for trouser hanging with a central hanging rail that pulls forward for ease of use. It retains its original labels and patent Numbers which are too numerous to mention but are in the pictures. Please be aware that this piece does not come apart in anyway and is heavy so we will need a good clearance to get it into an upstairs room.

It is

37 inches wide

68 inches high

23 inches deep
