This is an absolutely stunning mahogany pedestal writing desk. English and dated about C1840.

This desk has been well maintained over the years as its'condition clearly shows. There are seven smoothly running drawers, all veneered in the best quality mahogany. The left side of the desk is in cupboard form with simulated drawer fronts.A working key is supplied.

The top of the desk has a warm antique colour and is similarly inlaid. The back of the desk is panelled and polished and the sides of the desk are a rich mahogany colour with a fine patina. This delightful desk stands on original reeded bun feet with castors, breaks down into 3 sections for ease of movement, and has a generous knee hole size.
