Description

A wonderful antique mahogany and leather escritoire desk. This was made in England, it dates from around 1900-1910.

The quality is outstanding, this is very well made and beautifully designed. It sits on a X frames solid mahogany base with a nicely turned stretcher for support. The leather topped writing surface unfolds and is supported by runners that slide out from either side of the main drawer. There is a back gallery section that contains lots of additional smaller drawers. The desk top when closed and the main drawer front are cross banded, this also has a nicely polished back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
