Description

A magnificent pair of antique oriental lacquered chinoiserie cabinets. They were made in Japan, and date from around the 1890-1910 period.

The quality is outstanding, they are beautifully crafted with amazing details throughout. There is profuse gold and red tones of stunning painting, with dragon motifs throughout. There are carved dragons heads on the sides, dragons feet on the lower sides and lower centre. The small upper and lower doors depict more traditional Japanese imagery, the doors are held in place by brass hairpins.

The condition is excellent for their age, we have had these gently cleaned and re-polished. There is some minor age related wear here and there, overall they present absolutely beautifully.
