Description

A fine antique Victorian period writing desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1840-1860.

It has a beautifully elegant yet sturdy design, and is extremely well made. This sits on beautiful turned and fluted legs, which sit on original brass casters. The inset green leather top is gold tooled and hand coloured, the drawers have nicely turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
