Description

An impressive and very well made antique pedestal desk in mahogany. This is in the Chippendale style, it was made in England and dates from the 1920’s.

It is of superb quality and is a great size, with a wide knee hole. The inset leather top is gold tooled and has a beautiful patina, the top edges are beautifully carved. There are grooved edges down the front of the pedestals, high quality brass handles and this sits on claw and ball legs. The back is nicely finished and the top lifts right off, so this can break down into three pieces for ease of transport.

We have had this recently polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age & all part of the character.
