Description

An absolutely stunning antique French carved gilt wood settee of the highest order. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

It is of amazing quality, with beautiful and intricate carving throughout. It is a lovely size, petite and elegant, yet sturdy and comfortable for two. This has a gorgeous shape and is beautifully finished on all sides, with gorgeous carving on the outer sides and also on the back.

We have had the frame gently revived and restored by our gilding specialist, it has also been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent, with just the right amount of wear and patina on the frame.
