A large and impressive antique walnut secretaire bookcase, made in England, and dating from around the 1900-1920 period.

This is of fine quality and has lots of great features. It is beautifully made from gorgeous walnut, which has stunning colour tones and grain patterns. There is lots of storage space for books in the astral glazed upper section. There is also lots of storage space in the lower cabinets which have shelving and internal drawers. The central drawer opens and unfolds to reveal a leather topped writing surface, there are four generous drawers in the centre either side of the central section. This stands on bracket feet, has paneled lower doors and a lovely overhanging cornice.

The cornice lifts off and the top section lifts off the base, so this comes in three pieces for ease of transport.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with a wonderful all round patina.
