Description

A stunning antique Victorian inlaid rosewood music stand. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1870 period.

It is of extremely fine quality, the rosewood has stunning grain patterns and fine inlaid marquetry of satin wood and other fruit woods. The top section can be positioned at an angle to support sheet music, or it can be locked into a flat position to be used as a table. The brass rise and fall mechanism works well, the height can be adjusted to a wide range of sizes. This stands on a beautifully carved tripod base that also has fine satin wood inlays.

This would also be very useful as a menu holder in a restaurant / bar setting.

We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

The wood is Santos rosewood, and does not require a CITES or article 10.
