An outstanding Art Deco birds eye maple desk / console table. This was likely made in France, it dates from the 1930’s.

The quality is amazing, this has gorgeous birds eye maple grain patterns and colour tones. There are solid brass fretwork decorations under each corner at the top of the legs, and an inset brass surround that goes around the whole table. The two drawers are beautifully constructed with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and even the drawer bases are birds eye maple. The back is nicely finished on this, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
