Description

A superb antique inlaid walnut chest of drawers, made in England and dating from around the 1900-1910 period.

It is of outstanding quality and is a great size, with plenty of storage space. The figured walnut grain patterns and colour tones are beautiful, the top edges and drawer fronts are cross banded with inlaid double herringbone borders. This stands on short cabriole legs with shell carving at the knees. The drawers have solid oak construction with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and high quality brass handles.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some extremely minor wear remaining here and there beneath the polish, with a lovely overall patina.
