Description

A fantastic antique Georgian mahogany writing table / desk of the highest order. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1820’s period.

It is of outstanding quality, the solid mahogany top has cross banded edges, it sits on finely turned solid mahogany legs which have casters. The drawers have lovely turned handles and Hobb’s locks with brass escutcheons. This is nicely polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this re-polished, there are various small marks and indentations here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age. Overall this has a gorgeous colour tone and patina.
