A 'Helix' Sideboard by Gordon Russell

Description
This classic 1950 design by David Booth for Gordon Russell Ltd, known as the 'Helix' sideboard, appeared at the Festival of Britain Exhibition the following year. It has carcass of well-figured mahogany and the rosewood-veneered doors are routed to reveal the birch ply beneath. Inside it has a cutlery drawer and a shaped shelf that allows for tall bottles. On the back it bears a Russell of Broadway metal label.122cm wide, 46.5cm deep and 84cm high.
It is in good condition with some areas of slight fading to the top and minor aging elsewhere.
