Description

These extremely well-crafted chairs are made of solid oak with burr oak back splats. The legs and uprights are chamfered and the joints are pegged throughout. They have drop-in seats that have been newly upholstered in a tweed fabric.

In something of a Cotswold School style, they date to the second half of the twentieth century and are in many ways reminiscent of the Yorkshire oak furniture inspired by Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson. Undoubtedly handcrafted, they may be by a 'Mouseman' apprentice or follower.

They measure 46.5cm wide and 90cm high. The top of the seat rails are 44.5cm off the ground.

They are all in very good and solid condition with newly reupholstered seats.
