Description

This Arts & Crafts bureau bookcase is made of solid oak and has an alcove and a cupboard above a fall front, a drawer and shelves. The fall front unlocks, opens and rests on lopers to reveal a fitted interior. Arts & Crafts features include the leaded and stained glass to the cupboard doors, the moulded cornice, the shaped aprons, the metal drawer handles and the sledge feet.

It measures 79cm wide, 44cm deep and 183cm high.

It is in very good condition overall with the glass intact. There is a filled hole to the fall front where a non-original handle has been removed and the turned wooden knobs on the lopes are replacements. The fitted interior is unlikely to be the original.
