Description

This Arts & Crafts dresser is made of solid, dark stained oak with a fine figure. The moudling to the cornice and the top, as well as the sweeping brackets and the hammered copper handles, provide a stylish Arts & Crafts aesthetic to a very practical piece of furniture with two drawers above a double cupboard with a shelf.

Made and retailed by Liberty & Co, c.1905, it is unmarked but appears in catalogues of the period as well as on p.240 of Liberty's Furniture, 1875-1915. The Birth of Modern Design by Daryl Bennett.

It measures 173cm wide, 175.5cm high and 55cm deep.

It is in very good and original condition. The cupboard doors have their key.
