An Arts & Crafts Sussex-Style Settee

Description
This Arts & Crafts settee has turned decoration to the uprights, rails, spindles and stretchers and has a newly upholstered seat. Similar to the Sussex chairs of Morris & Co., and also influenced by Regency style, it is made of beech and ash and dates to c.1880.124cm wide, 92cm high and 60cm deep.
It is in good condition overall though a top rail and a front stretcher have been repaired and one front stretcher is a sympathetic replacement. A tiny patch of woodworm to one rear leg has been treated and filled. The seat has been reupholstered with new webbing and a modern floral fabric.
