Description

Of unusual design and very good craftsmanship, this oak table has an octagonal top and stands on four chamfered and through-tenoned legs. Two of the legs pivot to allow the top to fully fold down. It was made by Professor Stuart's Workshop, Cambridge, c.1930, and bears their ivorine label.

It stands 69cm high and the top measures 61.5cm by 54cm.

It is in good condition overall with some woodworm damage to the sides and underside of the top that has been treated and filled. The top has a few old scratches and dents and has separated slightly in the middle (see image).
