Marvellous Furniture

Description

This Arts & Crafts bookcase is made of solid oak and has heart piercings to the three-quarter gallery and the foot brackets. It has fixed shelves and a panelled back.

It has no label but features in a Liberty catalogue of 1907. It is also illustrated on page 266 of Darly Bennett's recent book 'Liberty's Furniture 1875-1915'.

91.5cm wide, 130cm high and 23.5cm deep. The shelves, from top to bottom, measure 20.5cm, 20.5cm, 23cm and 30.5cm high.

In good and attractive condition with minor knocks in keeping with its age.
