Pair 19th Century masons ironstone sauce tureens with matching ladles, of shaped oblong form, featuring scrolled handles and rose-bud finials on the lids, the design is a classic Imari-style pattern, often referred to as Matsumai or Mandalay, they were a standard part of high-end Victorian dinner services used for serving gravies and sauces. Circa 1840.
