19th Century mahogany Wellington chest attributed to Gillows, a lovely rich mahogany colour with six mahogany lined drawers with original wooden knobs, the top drawer front drops down to reveal partitions, the other drawers have hinged lids on the tops, the drawers are flanked by pilasters with the right hand one acting as a locking mechanism for the drawers, at the top of the pilaster there is a piece of wood that slides over to reveal the lock, all of these features were used by Gillows. Supported on a plinth base. Circa 1825.28” x 14 1/2” x 47” high
