Large Oil Painting Titled Mallard In The Reeds By Walter Jennings of Dudley Born 1927 Gilt Frame (36 x 26 Ins)

We are delighted to offer for sale this early example oil on canvas by the artist Walter Robin Jennings, who has signed the painting in the lower left hand corner.
The painting is also signed and titled verso as 'Mallard in the Reeds'.

The painting depicts a tranquil rural scene on a bright, sunny day in summer, with two mallards about to land on a lake, with their feet in a typical braking position. There are two other mallards already on the lake amid some reeds.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

WALTER ROBIN JENNINGS
Was born in Dudley Staffordshire in 1927 and was an excellent artist in his chosen field.
He was a superb landscape and animal painter, primarily in oil and exhibited widely. His work has been reproduced in card form by Medici, Royle and Solomon & Whitehead.

There is one of his paintings in the National Collection and can be viewed at Dudley Museum.

The painting is newly framed in a 3 1/2" ornate, swept, gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

CONDITION
This example is in excellent condition throughout.
There are no repairs to the canvas, which is clean and taut. There is no paint loss, craquelure or stretcher marks.

Shipping costs are charged based on the particular service used [ either next day express or economy ] and Size / Weight of item.

Delivery by private courier within the UK Mainland will be used for very large paintings and is charged at a flat rate of £80 for paintings only [ allow 7-14 days delivery time ]

International Delivery Quotes Worldwide are available on request by providing your full name and address together with a postal / area code and a contact number.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.

Returns authorisation should be requested by sending an e-mail before posting.

Once we receive the item in good order as supplied not withstanding notified transit damage, we will return payment using the same payment method.
