Description

We are offering for sale this Scottish oil painting on canvas by the artist Angus Cameron, who has signed the painting in the lower left hand corner. The painting depicts a loch view at sunset, with mist rising over the water. A shepherd is driving his flock along a track in the foreground beneath two Scotch pine trees.

This is one of a pair of paintings by this artist that we are listing.

Unfortunately, Angus Cameron is a very common name and, as we do not have a birth date to go on, it has been impossible to find him in Census records or births.

It does not appear that he exhibited in London, as he is not listed in the major artists' directories, but there are a few auction records for his work. Two cattle oil paintings of his were sold by Christie's New York in 2012 for £956 and 1 by Bonhams Chelsea in 1995 for £1,050.

The painting is framed in a 2" contemporary gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
