Young Girl By Gladys Watkins Signed & Dated 1888

Description
We are pleased to offer for sale this rather beautiful Victorian oil painting of a pretty young girl of around ten years of age, who looks towards the artist with concentration and serious expression.-
She has a fringe, long mid brown wavy hair and grey eyes. She is wearing a burgundy dress with a lace collar.

The artist is Gladys Watkins, who has signed the painting with her full name under the mount to the left and again to the right as G. Watkins Pinxit 1888.

The painting is on canvas and well preserved under glass and has had a new mount fitted.

The decorative frame is a 3 inch Italian gilt frame which suits the portrait very well and is supplied wired and ready to hang.

CONDITION
The canvas has been relined to conserve for the future and is now in good condition. In common with most paintings of this age, there is a very minor amount of craquelure and the odd blemish, which are not very visible under the glass.

Delivery by private courier within the UK Mainland will be used for very large paintings and is charged at a flat rate of £80 for paintings only [ allow 7-14 days delivery time ]
International Delivery Quotes Worldwide are available on request by providing your full name and address together with a postal / area code and a contact number.
Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.
Returns authorisation should be requested by sending an e-mail before posting.
Once we receive the item in good order as supplied not withstanding notified transit damage, we will return payment using the same payment method.
