Description
Wedgwood Majolica plate which features a deer. Colouration: brown, ochre, grey, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, 'M.1602.C'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1885. Book reference not found. Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: over glazed chip to the rim flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior and border.DateLate Victorian :
