Description

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver and glass inkwell. This handsome antique George V English sterling silver inkwell has a plain square form. The shaped surface of this impressive inkwell are plain and unembellished, with applied reed decorated borders to the upper rim and plateau base. This antique sterling silver inkwell is fitted with an impressive flat topped hinged hallmarked sterling silver cover, engraved with letters "L.H.W.P". The cover opens to reveal a sunken well. The body of this impressive inkwell incorporates a large glass ink bottle, ornamented with a star cut motif to the underside and secured with a hallmarked bracket and screw fitment.

Condition: Good original condition, wear consistent with age and use. No damage or repair.
