Superb, leather and Sterling Silver, Victorian, Vesta Case.
London Hallmark 1871. Makers mark HWD.

This rare and tactile leather & Silver Vesta Case is in two parts. The inner sleeve to hold the matches which slides into the outer case, with a serrated strip on the inner case for striking.
An added bonus to this Vesta, is its discreet inscription above the hallmarks with 'Trussell 16 East St. Brighton'

Condition V good, wear consistent with age and use.
