Sailor Vesta Case Players Navy Cut

Excellent antique silver plate vesta case of a Sailor, a beautifully detailed vesta featuring the portrait of a sailor in relief. The figure is very reminiscent of the famous Players Navy Cut logo. This vesta is of circular shape, its frame in the form of a lifebelt around the outside of the central portrait.The portrait on the vesta depicts a bearded sailor in a hat bearing the word HERO. In the background, there are two ships visible in the sea behind his shoulders. Both sides of the Vesta feature the same design.
There are no makers marks on this excellent vesta.
Condition: Good original condition, wear consistent with age and use. No damage or repair.
