A Highly Unusual & Rare Vintage Glass Lantern.

A beautiful and striking object, rarely seen quite like this and probably dating to around the 1960's - 1970's.

Exact maker and origin unknown, however, the outright quality of this piece, and the manner in which it has been constructed all speak for themselves.

The panels of glass cut with remarkable accuracy and held together with various metal rods, hooks and rigid brass wiring - perfectly fashioned so as to hold the piece together with great precision and strength.

Has a strong designer - brutalist appeal.

The glass featuring many bubbles of various size and with applied strips of semi molten glass, creating great surface texture. The colouration shifting from muted yellow through to pale amber.

A fabulous thing.....and absolutely 'vintage' and of the period. This is the real thing.

Would look stunning in a MCM modern interior, porch or entrance hall.
