From the flame mahogany panels in the doors to the wide crossbanding on the top and the brass trimmed gallery this 19thC mahogany chiffonier is a little stunner.
The graining is superb as can be seen in the photograph and the colouring of the timbers is good deep and rich. Photo is not doing this full justice.
The sides of the base have fine turned candy twist detailing and the molds around the doors are a cut turned bead. It has had a little restoration over the years as one might expect from a piece this age that has been in use, but it is in great condition and a superb size. With the top shelf it adds elegance and makes it really useful as a server or just a good looking sideboard.
