From about 1820 these Regency chairs are a really quality set. They have and good turned leg and are from excellent mahogany timbers. They are a little chunkier than some and just really well made with the reeded leg and ebony inlaid backs. Good to sit on too. These chairs will be excellent for someone who wants an exceptional quallity set of Regency chairs without carvers or perhaps someone who would like a ten with a pair of similar carvers at the end of the table, that will not command the hugh premium a full set of 10 from this period demands.
