Description

Could George I have been on the throne when this little oak side table was originally made. Quite possible I think. Its has got to stem from the early 1700s. It has had restoration over its life and could really do with a little more, but done with some sympathy. It is quite unusual with the carved drawer face and frieze, country made Welsh or Scottish maybe. For sale on behalf of a client. It has a typical simple leg terminating in a pad style foot, could even be Queen Anne, but that may be a little optimistic.
