A most handsome fire surround from circa 1900 in a rich Gold Oak. The detail is exceptionally good in this most impressive example. The inside opening is a very standard 36" square, perfect for a cast centre or whatever other insert you might like. It can of course be left as a hole for a wood burner as per the pictures here. The insert here is already sold I am afraid. As mentioned the detail is superb on this quality fire surround, from the raised panels on the legs to the carving just under the corbels which support the top shelf. An awful lot of work for a very reasonable amount of money. We have fire dogs and a fender or two to suit this surround if required.
We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
