Description

A Fine Regency Chest of Drawers in amazingly clean condition. This two over three chest of drawers started life in the early 1800s and has resisted the onslaught of time far better than the writer of this information. The top is clean and well grained and the sides dont have the regular splits often seen in these chests. It has lovely reeded column up each side of the chest which terminates in a small bow on the top. The edge of the top is also reeded along each edge. The inside of each drawer is oak lined and if there is any down side to this chest it is a little hrinkage in the drawer bottoms. The colour of the timbers is spot on and the French polish is superb. All in all a superb example of an English Regency chest of drawers with great looks and plenty of storage. This chest would fit in anywhere.
