Description

We have never had a pair of stools like this before. singles yes, but not a pair. These mahogany stools in a Chippendale manner with the cabriole leg terminating in a ball and claw foot are in fantastic condition. The woodwork has just been re French polished and the seats have just be upholstered in an antique finish leather. The edge is close studded and properly too, not that nasty strip stuff, each one correctly done. These are possibly unrepeatable and the words 'hens teeth' come to mind when trying to describe them. They are a pair and we of course cannot split them. They carry a Maples label on the back of one of the stools, so a great cabinet maker too.
Dating from early 1900s they are a versatile pair, going from a lounge to a bedroom to almost anywhere else in a house. They could be a fantastic addition to a boutique hotel parhaps. Ring for any more information 01565 874075
