What can we say other than superb. This 20thC narrow chest of drawers in mahogany has fabulous graining, its a very very rare size and shape with good deep drawers. Its the sort of proportion to a Wellington chest but much more useful because you can least use the drawers. The top drawer, which has a lovely serpentine shape was almost certainly intended as a place to keep a hat or hats but could take all sorts really.
It has the original plate handles which are cleaned and re fitted after the chest of drawers has been French polished. The top is cross banded and everything sits on pretty little bracket feet. A superb tidy example of a very rare sized and shaped mahogany chest. Possibly Scottish, this chest of drawers could go anywhere, almost would seem a pity to hide it away in a bedroom.............RESERVED.............
