Description

Just having come from our workshops and now in great condition this early 1800s arm chair is a versatile one. Could suit a desk or go at the end of a dining table or just an extra seat. Recently having been upholstered, it would seem, the seat is in good condition, if a little dated by the fabric choice. The chair has had a break on the back leg during its life but this is solid and not really noticable without looking for it. It has a stretcher base which of course gives rigidity and the shape and detail in the back is nice and fine, as is the reeding detail on the front legs. All in all a rather good mahogany elbow chair which looks great and is useful. Quite keenly priced too in the condition it is in and for the age.
