This Georgian mahogany linen press is really a highly impressive example. Having the press shelves intact it can be used as is or as a wardrobe of course. Sitting on ogee bracket feet the colour of the timbers and the inlays are superb. Having benefitted from being fully cleaned and polished in our workshops this press can fit into the very best of locations. The doors have an oval inlay which is itself crossbanded, the drawer fronts are crossbanded and the have the swan neck handles in place. The cornice has a painted swag detail which is an unusual and attractive. All in all a most impressive example, that must we suspect, be one of the best value pound for pound Georgian presses available at the price offered. We have just had a new key made for the original lock in the door so that is all operational too. Lots of attention to detail here.........SORRY NOW SOLD....................
We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
