This superior quality mahogany extending table is a particularly fine example. Timber is excellent and the slim well detailed leg is a very rare find. Waitng for a trip to our workshops for repolishing it will be superb when finished. This early table can in fact seat 10 if need be, as can be seen in the pictures with two people on each end, being 40ins between the legs most normal Victorian chairs will fit of course. As it is wider than most eight seaters and normally two chairs will not go between the end legs but in this rare example they will. An early example of this type of table, it has the popular rounded corner and as already stated a lovely, finer than usual, turned leg. All in all an exceptional example that will be a rather special table when finished. Being almost square when closed the leaf takes this out to seat family or guests as needed. RESERVED
