A most attractive Arts and Crafts Card / Games table in Satin Birch. Super colour and detail. Base is cleaned, waxed and buffed the top has been French polished. This table is a great example of the arts and crafts movement and carrys the cabinet makers stamp, always a good sign when a maker puts his name to a piece. A Manchester maker H. Ogden and numbered 2749. An item not too common in this wood and in this style, sensibly priced too. Henry Ogden was a Manchester cabinet maker, established in the mid 1800s he competed with the likes of LAMBS, and produced some very good quality items. He supplied quality furniture to some of the well to do of the period.............Sorry now sold...................
