What a superb table. In almost unblemished condition after over 100years, this very rare 54inch diameter cabriole leg pedestal extending table is just superb. Restored in our workshops it has a fabulous, but simple, well shaped flowing cabriole leg on the pedestal with a lovely grain. It is the windout type of extension which is again rare on a single pedestal example. The original handle is with the table and sits into the special slot under the top. This oval 19th Century table with the leaf in place will easily seat eight and then shuts to a 54inch round, which is a good six seater size. This really is a superb table with great colour and finish. There are sets of chairs available both sixes and eights, not least the set of 8 currently sitting around this table. They have a matching cabriole leg and are of similar age. What an impressive and really handsome useable set they make.
