Description

This trumpet work table or sewing table has the inlaid chess board on the burr walnut top. The collar being shaped is most unusual and is a quick visual indication that this is a rather superior example, adding to that note the shaping to the bottom of each side of the octagonal sections. The cabriole leg is nicely carved and fine in detail. The trumpet is not just a straight piece of timber but all concave shaped and even the interior has a polished edge to to top of each partition section. The upholstered tops in the interior having been reupholstered as can be seen in the pictures, just finishing the appeal of this impressive little table. A very sensible and realistic price for this superior example.
