This superb 19th century flame mahogany pedestal sideboard is offered in good original condition, showcasing a wonderfully rich 10/10 colour and deep, glowing patina that highlight the striking grain patterns of the timber.

Crafted in three sections for ease of movement, this classic and functional piece features a clean, restrained design that allows the stunning natural beauty of the flame mahogany veneers to take centre stage. The shaped central section includes three cushion drawers, each neatly fitted and smoothly operating.

Each pedestal base contains a panelled cupboard door with finely carved column supports flanking either side, adding just the right amount of decorative flourish without overwhelming the simple elegance of the piece. The left cupboard opens to reveal two fitted shelves, ideal for linens or dining accessories. The right-hand pedestal includes a cellarette drawer—traditionally used for bottle storage—alongside additional storage space below.

An apex back upstand adds architectural presence and frames the piece beautifully against a wall, making it a perfect statement item for a dining room, study, or elegant hallway.
