English Victorian Table - Papier Mache & Mother of Pearl - c1870

A quality period English antique table and a lovely example of this classic Victorian style.

A pleasing inverted tray style top with serpentine form presents an attractive mother of pearl inlaid and hand painted surface. This stands over a pleasingly shaped central column which flows into a triple step base.

Of useful proportion the table offers great scope for a variety of uses would make a wonderful lamp, occasional, display, library or lounge piece.

Overall this piece of furniture is in good order with a very desirable design and pleasing tilt action which locks robustly into place.
