Our Stock # 18.8195This is an antique Dandy’s walking cane. An English, gentleman’s stick in ebonised mahogany with a silver handle, dating to the late Victorian period, and hallmarked in 1889. A superb accessory of refinement and taste, exuding period charm and distinction.
Dashing late Victorian gentleman’s cane, perfect for display or refined personal use
Ebonised mahogany barrel displaying a deep black hue with subtle grain beneath the polish
Silver handle adorned with an elegant foliate motif, lightly time worn from careful handling
Hallmarked in London, with the date letter ‘O’ for 1889 confirming the late Victorian origin
Maker’s initials appear to read BN or RN, possibly for Benjamin Norton or Robert Nash respectively
Brass ferrule to the tip provides a durable and decorative finish
