This is a vintage decorative accent lamp. An English, cast alloy and copper converted medical heat lamp, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.

Of fascinating form and decorative appeal, with a delightful finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Cast alloy frame presents dark grey tonality with foliate pattern detail
Striking polished copper reflector shows warm amber hues

Skilfully converted from a Barber Dark Emitter infra red heat lamp
In period, the lamp was used to treat ailments at home using the principle of phototherapy
Cast Alloy roundel to centre reads 'The Barber Infra-Red Dark Emitter, 230/250 Volts
Distinctive wire cage sits proudly ahead of the reflector plate
